Motors, Pumps & Gearboxes
Sealed rotating equipment.
How we support motors, pumps & gearboxes
Motors, pumps, gearboxes and drives carry machined and sealed surfaces on the inside, where a wrap cannot reach. Held as spares or between overhauls, their bearings, bores and gear faces decide whether the unit runs true when it goes back in. We supply vapour-phase protection and barrier packaging built for enclosed rotating equipment.
The corrosion problem
The interior is the problem. A housing traps the air sealed in with it, and as the unit cools the humidity inside condenses onto the surfaces that matter most. A wrap protects the outside and does nothing for the bore, the gear set or the bearing, which is where a vapour inhibitor earns its place.
Where we work in this sector
- Electric motors and generators
- Windings, shafts and bearing housings held as spares.
- Pumps and hydraulic units
- Machined internals and sealed casings between service.
- Gearboxes and drives
- Gear faces and bearings inside an enclosed volume.
- Rebuilt and exchange units
- Overhauled assemblies waiting to return to service.
What we usually recommend
- VCI Devices, Emitters & Powders
Emitters and tablets that protect the sealed air space inside a housing.
- VCI Liquids & Chemicals
Rust-preventive oils and additives that reach internal surfaces a wrap cannot.
- Anti-corrosion & rust prevention
Matching inhibitor and packaging to the metals inside the unit.
